DTCC’s SmartSolo urban seismic explortion instrument has recently been successfully used on a large-scale urban underground space survey project in one of the largest cities in South-west China. This challenging survey area had many streets and highways, residential and commercial buildings, factories, shopping malls, underground garages, parks, and other city infrastructure. As the field operation proceeded smoothly, it became very clear that the high efficiency and flexibility of SmartSolo urban seismic explortion instrument make it the ideal seismic recording tool for these difficult urban environments.
