With increase interest in cable-less sensors in the Oil and Gas, Mineral and Scientific communities, DTCC decided to venture into developing the smart vibrations sensing equipment business by setting up an R&D center in Shenzhen, China in 2014.

Within a short period of time from 2014 – 2016, DTCC developed the World’s first smart vibration sensor ready to be launched.

At the 2016 SEG, DTCC announced the launch of their first generation SmartSolo nodal seismic system including the IGU-16 node as well as all the peripheral equipment for data harvesting and battery charging.

The announcement was well received in the energy industry and soon the nodes were procured by major oil and gas service companies around the globe.

In 2017, SmartSolo brand trademark registration was successful, successfully occupied the high-end market in Australia and North America.
